Toronto Holiday Date Night: Winter Lights and a Mystery to Solve Together

Planning a Toronto holiday date night? Give yourselves something to discover together on Gray Line Toronto’s Winter Lights and Mystery Scavenger Hunt by Bus.

The evening follows a fictional missing-star story. Jack Frost has hidden the Winter Star, and your team must follow clues through surprise checkpoints to help restore Toronto’s Winter Glow.

You can compare answers, notice details and find out where the story leads. It is a date idea for couples who enjoy an activity with something to talk about along the way.

A Toronto holiday date night with a shared challenge

A mystery gives you a reason to pay attention to your surroundings and to each other’s ideas.

One person might spot a detail the other missed. You might interpret the same clue differently, then work together to decide on an answer. The destinations stay a surprise, giving you something new to uncover as the evening continues.

A live host guides the experience and offers hints, so you do not need to arrive with local knowledge or puzzle-solving experience.

Plan around a 60–90 minute experience

The tour takes approximately 60–90 minutes, with main departures at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. from 55 York Street.

That gives you a useful starting point for planning dinner or another part of your evening. Leave a comfortable gap between reservations, especially if you need to travel to a different neighbourhood afterwards.

Choose your tour date and departure before committing to the rest of the night.

Winter lights by heated bus

Travel on a heated bus with a live English-speaking host. Some checkpoints are viewed from the vehicle, with short outdoor portions along the route.

Wear warm clothing and practical footwear so you can enjoy the outdoor moments without worrying about the cold. Seasonal displays and viewing locations may vary.

Bring one charged smartphone with mobile data for your team. No app download is required.

Choose your downtown pickup

The main meeting point is 55 York Street beside Tim Hortons.

Pickup options also include the Chelsea Hotel’s Gerrard Street entrance and a shared Hilton and Sheraton location near Queen Street West and York Street.

Select your pickup during booking and follow the exact instructions on your confirmation. If you are meeting your date at the stop, share the map pin beforehand so you both arrive at the same place.
